A Top-Tier Contender? – The Nike Air Jordan 4 ‘Paisley Blue’

Talk about a showstopper! The all-new Nike Air Jordan 4 ‘Paisley Blue’ is a refreshing concept that is full of creativity. Over recent years we have seen many brands and designers put their pad to paper to create alternative versions of the 4th OG Air Jordan silhouette. The likes of Travis Scott (Cactus Jack), Virgil Abloh (Off-White), Union LA, PSG and much more! Each respectively dazzling and highly popular within the sneaker and streetwear scene. So much so, that it may even be questioned if these renditions could ever be topped? Well, here we take a look at a contender that could seriously knock some of the iconic silhouettes off the podium. Let’s take a closer look.

Concept Kicks have outdone themselves once again with this new mock-up, the Nike Air Jordan 4 ‘Paisley Blue’. The sneaker is predominantly royal blue, a similar colour hue to the Air Jordan 1 ‘Fragment’ and ‘Royal Blue’ sneakers, and is accompanied by white accents all-around. The ‘Paisley Blue’ arrives with buttery tumbled leather on the upper and tongue tab, whilst white velvet is used to finish the inner ankle lining. In true Air Jordan 4 tradition, the sneaker showcases shiny metallic lace tabs in royal blue with white mesh caging on each side and under the lace ladder. White laces are used to further compliment the white accenting and Jumpman logo on the tongue. However, we predict that this custom sneaker would also provide a royal blue lacing option, should you choose to pull off a lace swap.

As the name would suggest, the Nike Air Jordan 4 ‘Paisley Blue’ has a foregrounding feature that ultimately gives the sneaker it’s ‘wow factor’. The scuff-guard surrounding the toe-box has been wrapped in a blue paisley bandana print. A feature reminiscent to Travis Scott’s (Cactus Jack) Nike SB Dunk Low, a sneaker that stunned the world and solely resurrected the Nike SB Dunk popularity. We expect this concept to also gain vast popularity and it wouldn’t be too naïve to think that Nike brand may use this mock-up as a template for any future general releases. For now, stay tuned and watch this space, for there will be many more custom sneakers arriving soon…
