Paisley Returns! Check Out the All-new Nike Air Jordan 4 Retro ‘Paisley Red’

This year we have seen Nike and Jordan brand test the waters with new and exciting designs on the Air Jordan 4 Retro silhouette. General releases in 2021 so far, such as the Nike Air Jordan 4 Retro ‘Taupe Haze’ and the Nike Air Jordan 4 Retro ‘University Blue’ are just two examples of how the design team at Nike are thinking outside the box. Considering how Air Jordan Retro’s are notoriously celebrated for the OG colourways, the new general releases have been a huge hit! Popularity surrounding this silhouette has excelled in recent years and it seems as though Nike and Jordan brand have no intentions of slowing down any time soon.

That being said, Concept Kicks is back with yet another Nike Air Jordan 4 Retro mock-up design, which is set to further catapult the silhouette with hype recognition. The all-new Nike Air Jordan 4 Retro ‘Paisley Red’ is the accompanying sibling of our recent big-hit, the Nike Air Jordan 4 Retro ‘Paisley Blue’. Here we take a closer look.

Seeking to follow in the footsteps of its blue counterpart, the ‘Paisley Red’ edition arrives with an all-white base, layered with crimson red accents and detailing. The upper arrives with white soft tumbled leather, red Jumpman tongue logo’s and red metallic lace tabs. Features highly reminiscent of Nike’s general release sneaker, the Air Jordan 4 Retro ‘Metallic Red’. Similarities stop there however, the ‘Paisley Red’ concept offers crimson red suede that sits directly below the white mesh cages on either side of the shoe. Furthermore, this ‘Paisley Red’ mock-up boasts an all-red heel-tab and inner ankle lining which further enables the shoe to attract eyes, not only on the street, but the ‘gram.

Now let’s dive into the hype! The foregrounding feature of this sneaker has to be the toe panel which surrounds the toe box. In true ‘Paisley pack’ traditions, the red edition arrives with paisley print bandanna that is difficult not to like. It’s yet to be confirmed whether this is actually a tear-away feature but nonetheless, it’s a feature which gives the sneaker some serious heat! Stay tuned as this may not be the end of the ‘Paisley pack’ from Custom Kicks.
